This break is gonna take longer than I thought

I want to apologize for the extremely long break I've taken...I never intended to be away this long, and I'm not happy about it. It seems that I have developed a condition called RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) which is going to keep me for some time. I will update periodically as I improve.

In the meantime, please check out the link above and do whatever you can to avoid getting RSI...it really, truly, absolutely sucks, even if you don't have blogs to run.

I'm so sorry to hear of your medical challenges...

I'm of the praying type, so I've just said a prayer for you.

I've just read all of the section on "what I'd do as President".

I have to say, it's refreshing to find an American on blogspot who isn't a right wing religious nutcase.

but what are your views on Intelligent Design?

Loving this blog and what you write. Keep it up.

Hi Jingoistic,

I don't know that much about ID, but I know that it is not science and shouldn't be taught as such. I also know that anything churned out by the religious right is self-serving BS that has the sole purpose of browbeating the rest of us into submission - reason enough to discount ID entirely.

I'm not saying God didn't design it all...but saying the earth is only 6000 years old with no evidence aside from your interpretation of ancient scriptures is like me saying Kate Moss is fat - she may believe it, but the rest of know it ain't so.

Why can't evolution be the physical evidence of God's work? Didn't the Bible say somewhere that a thousand years is like a day to God? Didn't the Bible speak in metaphors at times?

I think it arrogant to call such creation "intelligent". Somehow it implies that we are qualified to judge what is intelligent and what isn't. But if that were true, would we have all the problems that come with greed and lust for power. Bush is in his second term!

Why didn't they call it "Divine Design"? At least then it would have rhymed....
